The Apollo Spacecraft was composed of three parts designed to accomplish the American Apollo program’s historic goal: landing astronauts on the Moon and returning them safely to Earth.
Built around the lunar orbit rendezvous concept, two docked spacecraft traveled to lunar orbit. The Lunar Module separated to land on the Moon while the Command and Service Module remained in orbit. After the mission on the lunar surface, both spacecraft rendezvoused and docked again, allowing the Command Module — the only section to return to Earth — to bring the crew home.
This highly detailed model faithfully recreates the Command Module, Service Module, and Lunar Module, capturing the engineering brilliance behind one of humanity’s greatest achievements.
The set also includes the Lunar Roving Vehicle, mission equipment such as ALSEP (Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package), recovery equipment for ocean splashdown, and a premium display stand for a museum-grade presentation.
